I love this wall and I’ve been down before sunrise to teeter on it on many occasions. From experience I’ve learnt that a falling tide is much easier to work with than a rising one. It’s completely submerged at high tide, and at low tide there’s rather an ugly reef at its end so timing, as always, is everything. This was taken at 5.15 a.m. and is a six minute exposure. While I agree that 5.15 is a ludicrous time of day to be up and about (even more the 3.30 I had to get up at before getting here), it’s such a magnificent time of day, and being the only person about at that time is a lovely feeling.
